Well, two posts in one day...whatever next!

A birthday card I made for a friend...

I used Tim Holtz stamps for the sentiment and Wendy Vecchi stamps for the flower and leaf.

Background is Distress inks and an assortment of Wendy Vecchi stamps.

And the inside of the card and the envelope...

Well, I haven't posted in a while but I had a really lovely day today at a local craft shop

Where  I got lots of lovely stash :-)

Just need to find the time to play create now!

I've not had much chance to craft recently but here is a card I made a while ago using one of the lovely Prima Julie Nutting doll stamps...

These stamps are not my usual thing but I've now got four of them and will enjoy making more cards/projects with them!

Monday 28 April 2014

So I've been having a play and surprised myself by choosing colours that I don't usually go for, and if that wasn't bad enough, I only went and added a bit of sparkle too (check out the mini phial)...I don't usually 'do' glitter, but as least it's quite subtle.  That inspired the words I added, although on reflection I think they're a bit too bright, but it's done now.
Still, I had fun doing what I like best, getting inky and messy with gesso, Dylusions sprays and lots of embellishments :-)

My second proper post!

A few years ago I attended a workshop at the sorely missed LB Crafts where I made a Home Sweet Home box frame wall hanging.
I recently made a set of mini canvases using the same and/or similar materials.
Here they are :-)

Do they give you a clue as to my favourite colours?!

Friday 11 April 2014

Well, here goes, my first proper post or whatever it's called...

I went to one of my craft clubs the other evening and we were given a sketch book which we were encouraged to adorn to our heart's desire, cover it with gesso and then spray it with whichever ink we wanted...
I didn't finish mine during the course of the evening (I never can manage to finish anything!) but here is my book, first gessoed and then the finished sprayed version...

I think it looks better in 'real life' but overall I'm quite pleased with how it turned out :-)
Thanks Lynne Gilbert :-)
